i am on a job w/ a yammy reciever rx497, and a cdc 697. i can find any disctretes for either. i tried all codes for reciever, but no luck!! does anyone have any discrete codes, thanx, much appreciated...

I think you might be stuck with a toggle code on the receiver and have to hook up the CD player to the AC switched outlet. I don't think Yammy's are very good for their discrete on the base models. Or at least I haven't had good luck with them.

Yamaha has probably the best discretes from their web site, of any of the receiver manufacturers. You may likely need to take their code sniplets and put them into an IR tool, which will put out Pronto codes, which can then be pasted into RTI .cml files.

Open the IR library.
Find the manufacturer/component/model
In the "edit" tab type the command in the "add functions" window, click add.
Click "Hex View" copy and paste the hex into the Hex Data window.
click apply
Done!

found it thanx a bunch!! they got everything!! where do i look, noticed down bottom it has IR Library w/ .cml and .mx... i assume i need the cml, but how do i get these into my library... pronto converter program??
