Is it possible to trigger a third party product by RF from RTI T1+ or T2c directly?
Or is it only possible to send RTI RF codes?
I would like to trigger a rf-controlled mains switch without RP6.

Regards
Beat

No, unless it is Crestron or AMX

There's another strange possibility.

Find a Powermid, and I don't even know if these still exist,

Powermid Part A receives an IR signal and emits an RF signal; Powermide Part B receives an RF signal and emits an IR signal.

I have heard of circumstances where a person had an RF remote on the same frequency as the Powermid and did this:

Sent the RF command from the remote to Powermid Part B. Got IR output.
Learned that IR command into IR learner.
Copied and pasted hex code from the IR in remote system.
Issued that code via RF.
Operated equipment.

This depends on the RF all being on the same frequency and on the RF command consisting of strings recognizable by the Designer after being converted to IR.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Use a controlled (IR) relay wired to the button connection on the native RF remote. As far as using the 433 Mhz capabilities of an RTI remote to send a compatible RF signal to a third party device other than crestron or AMX... no.

Well, duh.

I obviously forgot I was in the RTI forum. If I understand it properly, the only RF that comes out of an RTI remote is a code meant to initiate an action in the processor, not an actual code for a controlled unit. So my suggestion above is not for RTI at all. Older Prontos, for instance, send the actual code to their RF receivers, which simply turn them from RF into IR.

tgrugett, thanks for being nice.

Or am I now confused in the other direction? If the RTIs only send RF signals that initiate commands in their processors, they could only control something in Crestron or AMX if those units respond to the RTI commands. Hmmmm.

You couldn't control an AMX or Crestron direct from the remote via RF but you can connect the processsor to the crestron or amx sysrem and send Rf to the RTI processor that then sends RS-232 to the crestron system.

Actually both Amx and Rti run on 433 mhz so you can add a rf receiver (Amx's receiver, not Rti's)to the Amx processor and use special trigger codes from the rti and control the Amx. You would have to have the progamming in the amx to receive the codes, but you can do it.
Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question...
