Although T2 accepted the IR codes from the AT&T 200B handset without a problem, when testing those codes out, I found that none of them work. Does anyone know about this issue? There is a red cover on the remote. I read somewhere to take this off for more signal strength, but that doesn't seem to be the problem here. Is this a General Instruments device? TIA.

I am not sure I understand what you are asking. It sounds like you are having trouble learning codes for an AT&T digital cable box (probably the General Instruments DCT-2000) into the T2.

I remember the first time I tried to learn a command into the T2 that I had some problems. It claimed that it learned the signal, but when I tested it nothing worked. It took a while to get the angles of holding the remotes before the learning was actually successful. I suggest experimenting with this if you are still having problems.

Actually, if you really are trying to use a GI cable box, you may want to try looking in the General Instruments section of RTI's site as they have some codes listed for the cable box. [Link: rticorp.com]

Good Luck!
