My company just switched to RTI and the guys who program have many different versions of TTD 5. I have spoken with RTI and they are trying to find me the last version of 5.1 so we can all be the same. My question is..... Is anyone comfortable with ID 6 so we can all go there instead?

Thanks in advance.

Integration Designer 6.01 seems to be a stable platform: it has several new, powerful features

It is working fine for me, no major issues. Every once in a while an icon will pop up on the screen for some odd reason, but does not effect anything that I can see.

I have 4 systems done under the newest software...

Whne I would add more than a few system macros to the RP-6 without building a macro or naming it some of them would disappear. Anyone else reporting that happening?

Are you using 6.0 or 6.01?

I'm seeing a similar issue.

I think there is a glitch that occurs due to the Macros being arranged by ID # or Name.
Occassionaly, I've had macros get RENAMED by a glitch.
Not sure how to explain that better... but I'm sure others will see similar issues.

I've got 6.0.1.1778 at home.

Roddy, how many devices do you have in each of those system files? Could you send me one to look at? I promise not to use any of it. Right now I'm just doing one remote and one processor but that will increase soon. We do have a job with an XP-8 in the pipeline and it is headed for prewire soon.

Thanks again

Just small systems with the new software, nothing groundbreaking by any stretch. Nothing with the new processor yet either.

I haven't had any issues since that first fix.

I've done some stuff with an XP8, RP6, T2C and a T2+ in the same file with no problem.

I've started building a much larger system with an XP8 and a bunch of RK3s and T2Cs. The programming part has been great except for one small glitch in the macro building on the XP8 (I think the same problem exists with the RP6 as well). When building the macros, sometimes it doesn't take the "rename" on the previous macro when you click NEW MACRO. Not a big deal... if might even be the way I build them. I'm going to call RTI on it this week.

AndyM, When you have this "rename" glitch, can you go back and change the name again or is it gone? I have noticed the macro ID stays the same.

Read this thread:
[Link: remotecentral.com]

There is at least one common issue with the ID 6 mentioned. And i had a rp6 -> xp8 conversion that screwed me up really bad. im going back today and hoping if i rewrite the xp8 from scratch it will fix all the issues listed in my thread. RTI is aware of them and tech support was unable to give me any answers so my file is now being sent to the engineers/designers to figure out what the problem is.

6.1 is fine. Ive done a couple major projects since its release.

6.0 had a bug that caused ID to crash after making changes to RP6s. How you would come across a ver of 6.0 anymore is a beyond me.

Go with the new software.
