Good morning Daniel. Is this site going to have the ability to share "bit maps, codes, etc. for the T2?

RTI themselves will have an online library of IR codes library files for the T2; but I'm looking at creating a place for everyone to send up complete files, bitmap libraries and IR libraries. Depends on how much user interest there is.

I'm familiar with their library, it's the old lexicon data base, not much there. But would like to help in establishing a new data base. We have tons or codes we would like to share but not enough right sized bit maps. thnx for all your work. what ever you make on the ads is peanuts compared to your efforts.

What would be great is if someone could write a converter program that can take Proto IR hex codes and convert them to T2 codes programatically...

I think the library thing would be great. We have a bunch of 700t ir library files we would donate to the cause.

I have to agree with James about a converter from Pronto to T2 being a very cool feature

I would donate my extensive collection of IR codes.

All I need to get the T2 file area going is a number of files, along with complete descriptions. Once I've got a few, up it goes. Once the T2 is widely available I expect it to grow quickly. For now, you can either use the Philips Pronto upload form, or just email them. If you were wondering, layout would be similar to the Pronto file area. Suggestions welcome.

TheaterTouch Designer has a hidden hex code to T2 Command Library (.cml) file converter built-in. At this time, this is an unsupported and undocumented feature of the TheaterTouch Designer software.

To access this feature:

1.Open the IR Library Manager.
2.Open the Command Library (.cml) that you wish to add the new remote to.
3.Create a new remote in the open Command Library by clicking the “New” button on the upper right hand side of the Edit View dialog box.
4.Enter the manufacturer’s name, type of equipment and model number in the appropriate fields. However, DO NOT enter any information in the function fields!
5.Click “OK” to close.
6.Press “F12” to open the Hex code entry window.
7.You can paste or type the Hex code command string into the field.
8.Enter the function name in the appropriate field.
9.Click “Add Code” to add the command to the remote file.
10.Click “Clear” to clear the fields of the last Hex code and make way to add another Hex code.
11.Repeat steps 7, 8 and 9 for each command you wish to convert.
12.Click “Close” to close the Hex code entry window.

Please remember that this is an unsupported feature and we do not make any guarantees.

Any news on where to find these library codes? I've been playing with the software trying to get ready for my remote, but am missing quite a few codes. I've found the codes for the Pronto, but they aren't individual HEX instructions -- the whole thing. Not sure how to import entire libraries...or how to pull individual HEX codes from an entire library. Anyone?

I happen to know that file libraries can be batch converted. However, most manufacturer's are leery of providing them because of potential legal problems. Perhaps someone can be persuaded to simply make one outside of RTI. Many of the utilities that were created for the Pronto could not have been done by Philips because of legal issues.
