I am programming a T2-c. The client has an older Lifestyle-20. The remote is a rf remote so I can't learn the codes off the remote. Where or how can I find these codes? Does the unit even have a remote sensor?

the newer lifestyle systems have a way of turning IR control on in the system menu. and the rti library has the codes. dont know off hand if the lifestyle 20 had the IR capability yet.

I don't believe there is any IR control before the LS 28.

Trent from Audio Authority showed me this part at Cedia. Never used it but it makes use of the serial port on LS20. Kind of expensive, but only way to control unless they are willing to replace the Bose!

This will work for the Lifestyle 20, 40 and 50. The converter box provides you with an external receiver... we used to glue an emitter eye onto or mount one adjacent in the cabinet. There are .ccf files kicking around with the codes to control them. I can send them if you want.

...guess I won't be able to shake that "resident B*se expert" title you so eloquently bestowed upon me if I keep commenting on these B*se threads :)

Nope, but I don't think thats a bad thing. I have called a few of my existing customers that already had bose and got most of them to upgrade to the new remotes, thanks to what I learned from you.

I definitely owe you some drinks this year at Cedia.
