Have a job coming up in which the XP8 may be a better solution than the RP6. How are you finding it so far?

XP-8 has some features that I like: some examples:
--download changes over Ethernet so you don't have to connect/disconnect cables
--has a menu setting to remember last setting of flags, relays, and output state etc, so when it reboots after an update, the settings are preserved
--relays can be set for dry contacts or trigger
--Front panel display show diagnostic info and lets you toggle relays and other functions
--lots of ports!
--rack mount lends itself to neater install
Things I don't like:
--takes a long time to reboot after a program update
Overall it is a very nice processor: certainly better than an RP-6 in many ways: if cost is not an issue this is the one to choose for a medium or large install, and particularly if you would have needed more than one RP-6
