Hello. Looking for some info on RS232 contol, general 232 info and related to RP6/XP8. I've read on here in different threads about some things, but I'm looking for a centralized place to learn more about it (ie book or website, etc). I spend a lot more time reading on here than posting, as most of you know a whole lot more than me, so I come to the place with all of the knowledge to ask things.

My experience with rs232 is pretty limited. I regularly do RS232 for Elite plasmas, McIntosh processors, Epson projectors and the HQV video processors for said projectors. Some of the 232 strings look pretty complex (Yamaha, I think), and the documentation assumes you know what you are doing with it. I'd like to get to the point where I do know what I'm doing with it. As always, thanks for reading, and any input is appreciated.
Listen, think, THEN speak.

XP-8 has a diagnostic mode where you can see the RS232 string being sent: but not sure it shows return strings until 2 way communication upgrade?

have been using Hyper Terminal and Elan Terminal programs to test commands

I would like to do more RS232 myself
