I was wondering if their is any way to set a marantz sr4001 to a discrete volume. It's not rs232 controlable, so i doubt it but thought i'd ask.

Does anyone have those codes in hex or a rti library file that i could try to see if they are backwards compatible with the sr4001?

I have actually been on the phone with marantz and there is a code that they added for the new marantz 4002 receiver that lets you type in a volume. If you go to their website and choose the marantz 4002 and download the excel spreadsheet it shows you all of the commands it has. The guy i spoke to said if I call RTI and is them the command number they can get me the hex string for it.

I wonder if this will work on a SR4021 (their stereo receiver)... I can really use this for a job I just did. Even a set turn on volume would have worked.

Does anyone have the marantz universal remote???
on marantz's website you can download a file for their remotes with all of these codes. i would just need someone to learn it into the rti, or give me the hex string.

Might I suggest that you not post the same message two different areas.

If you feel the need to cross post in both the RTI and discrete code areas because it is a particularly urgent issue then do so with a full post in one area and then and edited version with a link to the other.

The reason for this is that the responses can stay consolidated and those who search for the information have an easier time finding it.

I posted a reply in your other thread.
