Any body know if the SR4002 will respond to the descrete sleep command in the RTI database?

If not, which models will? SR5002? SR6001?

Also, does the SR4002 have descrete tuner presets?

If you can wait until tomorrow night I will learn in all the codes with a Marantz 9500 remote into an RTI learner. I just took a look at the config and it has over 50 preset discrete codes. (and a bunch of other tuner options.

I am just tired from a long day, so if you can wait until tomorrorw night I will send you a .cml file.

I looked at the codes in RTI's database and the Megalist. The Marantz codes aren't really model specific, it just says Marantz-reciever-AVR ALL LATE MODELS and Marantz-reciever-2006 Rec/Amps.

These code sets have the descrete codes I need (sleep/presets/power/inputs), I just want to make sure the SR4002 will respond to them. Not that only the high-end AVR's have a sleep timer, etc.

You can download the list of documented codes from Marantz to see what is available for each model.

I posted about the process of interpreting the raw data here:

Excellent suggestion, I just went to Marantz's support site and looked at thier IR spreadsheet, it is a list that shows every code on every product they make.

Turns out, the new models (SR4002, SR5002, etc.) have new descrete sleep toggle, 30, 60, 90, 120, and sleep off codes. The previous models only had the sleep toggle.

I didn't have to translate the data with Makehex, good thing too because I don't have a rocket science degree (looks like it takes time and intelligence).

It is ridiculously easy to use make hex and not that difficult to interpret the Marantz documentation. A little experience does help in getting the raw documentation solved.

change the top line and then dump the RC5x file onto the Make hex...

Not rocket science. Making Makehex work... that was a bit harder I would imagine.... and JohnFines is the man.
