OK so I install a Zyxel X550 router and it sees the internet fine: wireless works too

Now I notice none of my RTI touchpads or T4's can be seen on the network anymore and I spent hours with no luck

Can someone give me some pointers? I must be missing something stupid

Like I say the wireless works and other wired PC's work: but no RTI products (worked fine with Netgear router)

Yes Windows firewall has exception for TT (also turned it off: same thing)

Did the subnet change? Are the panels set for static IP? If not did you try to power cycle them to see if they could grab a new ip address from the router? When you say they can't be seen on the network, do you mean to upload to them from TT? If so you may need to switch the communication method back to usb and then change it to IP if the ip addresses changed.

Just to get the stupid out of the way...

Have you physicaly diconnected and reconnected the data port on the keypads?

Did you change any ends (RJ45)?

all of the devices have static IP addresses: I see the router fine from the main PC: and devices set for DHCP work OK

I see an option for DHCP ranges: the current setting does not include my static addresses so I will try that next

What is the IP of the new router_________
What are the Static Address of the Touch Pads
__________
__________
__________

Are they part of the same octet? i.e 192.168.1.xxx

Can you get the RTIs to get online if you go into theater touch and change the properties to DHCP?

Email me if you need more...

Router IP is 192.168.1.xxx

T Pads are 192.168.0.151 etc

so they are not part of same octet (they were with old router)

I was thinking of changing them to DHCP then to new static IP's (unless there is a way to change IP of router so I don't have to change each TP: router has an option for clone IP)

Just use TTD and open properties and change the 3rd octet to 1. That should do you as long as they are outside the DHCP address range.

In the router there is a page to change its IP. well most routers have that... change it to 192.168.0.1 and then your touchpads don't need the change.

2 ways to do the same thing...

you just found your problem.

your ip's are not the same....

192.168.1.xxx
192.168.o.xxx

1 does not = 0

set all of your rti touchscreens to the same octet as the rest of the network

I can't even buy a chiclet.
