Hey Everyone-
I am a RTI newbie and I have an older T2. I have programmed similar remotes in the past and I have the remote, cable and software for the T2. I went through all the steps to "teach" commands from my donor remotes to the T2 and loaded them all into my IR Library. I know the T2 can be tricky to teach codes but after finding the proper alignment it captured all the codes with ease. Problem is, after trying to test the T2 to see if it worked I could not get the devices to respond to the T2 from the test screen in IR Capture. Thinking maybe it was the test feature I built a quick command program in TheaterTouch and downloaded it to the remote, still no devices would respond.

All command buttons and the remote itself are set to IR. Is it possible, or likely, that my remote is not putting out any IR signal? Any other ideas?

Thanks All.

Turned off lights, pointed remote at camera on my cell phone and pressed a programmed button. NOTHING visible on camera.

Does that mean that my remote is not putting out an IR signal??? If so, is there anything that can be done or is it time for a new remote?

If you are not seeing IR then yes there is no IR being sent. I would double check your programing and if you are sure that you programed it right then yes it is time for a new remote..I have not programed the older remotes but when you do not have a rp6 or rp1 in your project all codes are ir. If you do then make sure that the codes your are sending are programed in standalone

right click on a command

edit properties/output

set the output to standalone so the remote will send out an IR command

Should "standalone" be an option??? On the output tab I have "Output Type" which is set to IR and RF ID Code which is set to Default.
