This should be simple, I am just not finding how it´s done
For example if I woule like to set a page up such that if there is no activity for 30sec on that page the remote will automaticly timeout and go to the homepage
this is good if the remote is used, and then left on some page then when the next user picks it up he will just see the normal homepage.
Best arni

Yup it definitely sounds simple but to the best of my knowledge you can't do it.

Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;) |

This can't be done as there is no built in timer....maybe on the XP-8.

No built in timer ?
how about the timer that counts a pause in Macros ?

You could theoretically put a timer in to a macro... however, you would need to do it on every button, and every time you pushed a button you would have to wait for the macro to execute.
I am REALLY hoping I will be able to do something like this when the new processors come out. And I don't want it only to be based on a timer, but being able to do page flips based on input outside of the remote control. Somehow I doubt it's coming, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I asked if the XP8 will be able to do this, and they said once the XP8 is two-way you will be able to. Until then no.

It would be great to act upon the status of the internal backlight, for example, customer is watching cable, controlling functions from the cable page, they switch to audio adjustments, tweak the surround, put down the remote, and when the backlighting goes out, after 10-30 seconds, it jumps back to the cable page.
Just a little wish!

I want to be able to trigger the remote from a security system to pause whatever the customer is watching, and then switch the page on a T4 to a video camera from the front door or something to that effect. I don't think that is too much to ask.

Fpr a few thousand dollars more and many hours learnig to program them, Amx and Crestron can do all these things now. However that does not answer the question.

Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question... |
