I have decided That I am not going to be doing these mods anymore, so here is the instructions for free. be patient as this is a large image file broken into 500 segments for copy protection.

I am also going to put up a page showing you how to modify the old T2 remote as well. If you own an older T2 with an IRF-6 and dont know what this is all about, go here [Link: mastertheaterbuilders.com]

Brill, mate! One would have to be dedicated to steal this from you!

Reminds me of a program I once bought; every time you started the program it asked for a code number from a page in the manual. The code numbers were, for instance, red on a dark blue background, so they xeroxed all black. You had to have the manual to work it or you had to make a list of hundreds of numbers and their locations.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

It was a pain to get it to work the first couple of times, as its all stitched together with HTML, and it does not always load right on some machines, but it works well enough to get the point across.

What I thought would be interesting for everyone, is to see that the Linx receiving chip is basically the same thing that is now in the RM433, only they are now using the 433 freq. Chip.

The mistake that RTI originally made in the white paper, is to use the RG195 (tiny cable) to connect the antenna to the receiver, the white paper called out having the antenna very near the receiving chip and using cable similar to the RG195 connected between the chip and the motherboard, which is exactly the way the RP-6 is now setup.

I was able to boost transmit power even more in the original design by installing a 10 inch bare copper wire in the T2 remote soldered to the transmitting lug of that chip. That is how I was able to get 200 feet of range

My original clue back in 2001, as to getting the original remote system to work properly, was to discover that whole thing is basically a fancy garage door opener, uses similar frequencies & parts and wherefore is subject to the same basic problems. Problems, which had already been solved by Sears, Genie and couple of other companies. So I just did what they did and it worked.
