I have an old reliable T2 remote. However, the Theatertouch Design software that came with probably will not run on my new Vista computer (unless I'm wrong). I tried to go the RTI website. However, RTI only deals with Installers now, not like when I first bought the T2 as a consumer. I know that you all will tell me to just go and buy a new remote (which I did the MX3000 a couple of years ago), but I want to use the T2 for the other room in the house.

Any advice? Thanks.

I would think you could get the old software to use. Whether or not it runs on Vista I have no idea.

I think the T2 software is available on this site. That said, the only thing to do is try and load it on your Vista machine and hope. Also, you will need the funky cable to program the T2. Which requires a serial port (or a usb to serial converter)

If you already have the TT software for the T2, it hasn't been changed in years, so it will either work on Vista or it won't,getting to the RTi website won't help you.

Just for fun, I installed the software on Vista to see if it would work. I do not have a T2 lying around to try it out but it seemed to work fine.

It will likely be more of a question of communicating with the remote over a USB to serial adapter under Vista than whether the app will start.
