I have a DLO HomeDock Pro in our showroom and the rear IR port doesnt seem to work with the RP-6 plugged into it. The codes work fine if I use the remote as IR and shoot at the front IR receiver, but once we go RF and use the rear ir port its over...no response at all....just like DLO support, no response

(rant)
I called DLO 1800 number to be told they dont support that model and to call another number, so I did and the extension they gave me doesnt exist, I tried another extension and got a voicemail so I left a message. on top of several emails now and several phone calls over the last week and a half with no response..what kind of crap is that...hard to support someone who wont support you
(/rant)

anyway, has anyone else had any issues with the rear ir jack not working?? if so what do I need to do to get it to work??

I have used the IR rear port before on the first dock I installed. I brought one home for the weekend to play with the RS-232, I can check the IR port again and report back.

Have you tried Fred or his guys at Cap...??

i too have the pro model, previously had it sat on top of my cabinet and blasted the codes into it directly-no problem. now i have it sat in a closed cabinet, i can't get it to work thru the rear port or indeed with an emitter on the front. Have used the standard model with no problems thru an ir link before.

I had it working for about 10 minutes then it locked up. Maybe strip the IR carrier?

I have used the eye via emitter via an RP-1 several times when the DLO becamse an add on.

Funny thing Bruce, that is how my days are. If I do not get to it in the morning then it does not get done... D'oh

Maybe strip the IR carrier?

That was it, I stripped the carrier(set IR Freq to 0) and all is fine now, commands are a tad slow but everything is working

I will add a new Set of codes the the mega 15 list as dlo homedock pro (stripped)

if i set the frequency to zero in library manager then it says "this code cannot be displayed in Hex".

Thats because it has no carrier frequency anymore and messes up the hex code in the library

It should still work fine, just not able to see the hex code anymore

I have a stripped and unstripped file for the Pro if you want them
