Hello, I've posted a thread regarding this issue a couple of weeks ago and i still have the same problem. The process goes like this:

Thouch to begin -> Living Room -> Plasma OR Projector - TV/Satellite/PS3/Wii etc....

During the Plasma or Projector choice, the particular standalone button will recall RP6 macros and also switch through the "Traffic Light" icons saying "Please Wait", until the Plasma or the Projector switches on, after 10 or 20 seconds respectively.

I tried using flags by attempting to set a "Please Wait" flag, after the System Macro and the page flips on the "plasma" or "projector" buttons, which would then be cleared only when one of the two or both devices were shut down, but the flag isnt available to clear it, when switching off the devices. So flags are ruled out I guess. The buttons are standalone, since if another choice is used, then I cant use page links for my please wait process.

The user needs to go to the "living room" stage of the process in order to control the blinds, A/C, Lights and Music, and as a result then needs to go through the Plasma or Projector choice again, therefore waiting without a reason for 10-20 seconds everytime.

Thanks for any help!

If you put your power off buttons into standalone as well, you should be able to access your flags

Remember that flags on the processor and flags on the remote are two different beasts. If you want to track page flips with flags you are stuck with using standalone mode. No page flips or flag tracking on the remote itself can be achieved on the processor.

If I interpret your post correctly, it sounds like you need a control options screen that would allow you to jump to the shade and lighting and then when done, jump back to the device control screen you were on last.

I would set a standalone flag in the initial activity macro indicating which page or source is currently active. To do this you must also clear all other page or source flags. What I do to save time is create one standalone activity macro that jumps to my please wait screen, clears ALL page/source flags, calls the appropriate system macro(s) for an activity, sets the appropriate page source flag and then jumps to my device control page. Then, I copy and paste the standalone activity macro to other activity buttons and edit the system macro(s) and flag to be set. This way you do not have to create a new macro everytime and it assures that only one page/source flag is set at any time.

Once this is done you can create a shortcut button to take you directly to the shade and lighting controls and then provide a standalone back button using a series of flag tests and page links to return you to the appropriate device page.

Make sure your off macro is on the processor and call it in a standalone macro along with clearing the page source command(s).

Troy,
I think that once you create that macro on a button, you can call it up from other buttons inside their macros, so you shouldn't need to copy and paste. If this is true, then if you need to adjust the macro, adjusting one adjusts every application of it, which is a timesaver.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I thought I looked at this already and found that you can call a button that has a command placed on it but I do not think you can do this with a macro. I think I remember that the button did not even show up as an option unless a command was placed on it.

I will double check... I have wanted this option for a while now so that I can create sub macros on a hidden page (pronto days) and emulate the processor in standalone mode.

Troy,
you're probably right. I think I got it wrong: you can call up system macros from inside other macros, but those don't originate on buttons.

Yeah... its unfortunate that you can not create sub macros or call macros from a button on the remote like you can the processor... I guess then then the remote would be a processor!?!?
