For the last couple days I've been working on the owner of my companies' house and getting his system 100%. So i've taken his T3's and RK3's from wimpy 16page, basically worthless crap, to 70+ page beauties. After I've spent hours changing the programming I start testing. I hit volume up and it keeps going!! I go running to the head end and dive for the power button on the B&K CT600's. I look at the RP6 and it's sending a steady IR stream out. I pull the power on the RP6 and the CB4. Plug back in the RP6 and all the T3's work just fine. Plug the CB4 in and back to the same volume up issue. After two phone calls to RTI and a bunch of headbanging I accidentally figure out that it's the RK3's IR receiver that somehow causes the RP6 to keep streaming whatever command was given. Turn off the IR receiver feature and everything is good. Has anybody else ran into this problem?
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

I uncheck sustain for volume up with the CT's. Set the start up volume to a decent level and have them step up from there. I do not uncheck for volume down usually
When good enough is not good enough.

Had exact issue on RK2 just the other day. Are there florescent lights around. The IR receiver on these kp's are really sensitive. Thankfully, I haven't needed the IR receiver yet. Anyone come up with a workaround to make these work better?

same problem here: even though it says they are plasma friendly they caused me all kinds of trouble: mine are all shut off

If you need to use them: remember the old masking tape trick?

Put a small piece of generic masking tape over the eye: use additional layers if needed: the tape acts as a filter and often helps mitigate the problem

I have had to turn off the IR sensor on ALL my wallpads. Or I have things like the Directv Guide just going up and up and up.

Turning off the IR sensor is all I got.

Turning off the ambient light sensor gets rid of ground loops... love those features you can't actually use.

I'm glad that I'm not crazy and other people have had this problem too. I'm going to call Drew at RTI and tell him what I found to be the problem.

Roddy it's weird that the volume up on the RTI for the CT's sends the volume up like 7 and yet volume down doesn't. I have all my turn on volumes set in the CT and the ups are not on sustain also. But I'm having a problem with Mute not muting. You can hear it mute and unmute instantly. I've changed the IR repeat to 0, 1, 2, hell even 3 with sustain both on and off for each repeat and it's not working. Anyone else run into this mute issue? It seems that no matter what the RP6 will send out two commands for at least mute, volume up(more then two), and the power toggle. But I don't remember having a problem with Mute before this one. I'm wondering if it's the commands in Megalist 14. I'm going to try different IR lists that I have to see if it stays the same.

Try making a system macro on the RP-6. One for for each; Volume Up, Volume Down, and Mute. Even though it is only a single command. Then apply the sustem macro to your volume and mute buttons and delete the commands from the buttons as well. I know it sounds weird, but has solved some strange issues for me in the past.
