I am buying the 5080 for my own system (replacing old pro99). I looked through the master list and others but do not see a specific file for this plasma. I read about the Pioneer CI site and found the "IR" file, but am not sure exactly what I am supposed to do with it in the form they use. How do I make AA1A and AA1B the power on and off commands?

The "simple" codes you listed can be converted using Makehex and the pioneer.irp file, however, there are some "complex" codes that may require different .irp files. There is a .ccf file on Pioneer's website that has all these codes converted already, and I believe they are "clean, generated" codes from Makehex. You can create your own 5080 library by copy/pasting from the .ccf. You can also probably find most of the codes in the older models listed in the RTI Master library, or the MegaCode library.
