honestly i dont think it can be done. and if it can be done...should it be done? i doubt it.
before you got hired to do something dont you think you should have found out if it was possible?

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"... |

Yes, it is possible. The IR receiver on the front is a little tricky to get to, but the code sets do work. tgrugett is the resident expert on Bose (Thanks Troy) and he helped me out a while back. The receiver is located under the black trim piece on the bottom of the lifestyle unit. I ended up removing trim piece, breaking the shell of emitter and replacing trim piece but I believe Troy said that you didn't have to remove the trim. As far as should it be done. Although I don't care for Bose, I don't make enough money yet to say no to easy jobs.

It works fine, I've used it several times, but you'll never get me to testify to that!

I put codes in the mega list for rooms A, B and O. If you need more I have an IR generation tool for you if you send me an email.
I think I may resent that comment about "resident Bose expert". I will now go and prepare myself for the pop shots comming my way.

Other items to watch for .....
Use any input command for discrete on Use an unused input and then power for off
If AM/FM is already selected and send AM/FM command again it switches band, solve by using an unused input then AM/FM.
Bottom front black trim easily snaps off and can place emitter inside, there's even a slight indent in the case to allow this.
And don't forget to go in the menu and turn IR control on!

BTW...
There are actual discrete power commands.... no work around needed.
