I have a Toshiba DVD/VCR combo Model Number SD-22VL
The laser is busted, and I want to replace it with a DVD player only (VCR part is not required) that uses the same IR codes as the DVD section of the DVD/VCR combo.
it is in an AMX control system that I dont have the source code for and therefore cant change the IR codes in the AMX program.
can any one tell me what current model toshiba DVD has the same IR codes as the SD-22VL if there is one

Take the original remote and goto the big box stores, walk to the DVD aisle and shoot some codes at the toshiba players....
I had to do that with a samsung unit a while back for a cutomer who had a crestron system and WOULD NOT pay for upgrading the programming, since there was a problem with the original company about how old the unit was and if it was under warranty, so they called my company, and that is what I did.
Its pretty ghetto, but it worked!

I will have to get the customer to find the remote , they dont know where it is :)
