I have devices (like a toshiba HD dvd player) where they IR codes aren't available for use with my RTI theatertouch remote and I was wondering if there was a device I could hook up to my computer and point a remote at and read in codes 1 by 1.

Contact your local RTI Dealer, he should be able to learn or make any adjustments to your remote; otherwise your out of luck the IR-PRO is available to dealers only.

Pick up a used pronto TSU1000, 2000, 3000, 3500, 6000, 7000, 7500 etc.....

You can learn and view codes and the copy-n-paste into a variety of places.

You can only paste in hex codes. If you found TTD IR libraries that contain the codes you are looking for then you can open it as is in TTD. If you need them to be learned you should contact a dealer.

Has to be hex but there are lots of ways to convert codes.

But like vbova27 stated... what are you trying to import.

i need a pioneer dvd dv46A discretes on/off for a T2C/RP 1, havent been to job yet so i dont know if play turns it on. And i also have a job where a guy has a JVC 42" LCD in bedroom, i dont have this model number yet either. That is why i was just curious to know. I was diggin around the manufacturers website and saw ir codes for some commands, and also saw pronto hex codes. Didnt know if i could get the ir codes like say from DISCRETE CODE FORUM, and copy and paste. Never did it before so i was curious... thanx and hope everyone had i wonderful holiday..

You should be able to copy and paste the Pronto codes into the IR library.
