So I've put in 5 Sony plasma's in a bar and I'd love to figure out a way to use an RP6 to control them through the S link. Is it possible? Yes I know it has an RS232 input but I need to get the system up and running for their grand opening party tomorrow night. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;)

On the RP-6 macro's open the macro and double click the Sony TV IR code...now set the freq to 0.0

on the remote, right click the button then select properties, then infrared and set freq to 0

You can also select a group of buttons and then select properties and infrared and set all to 0 as well

thats it, slink should work
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Sweet! I hope this will work for me. I'd really like this to be the answer. I want to be able to control the power from the K4 that's controlling the entire rest of the system but in a bar IR bud's would get pulled off of the tv!

You can also modify an ir library file to create an "s link" TV code set.

In library manager duplicate a code set.
Rename the code TV S Link or something
Change all the frequencies to O for that device

Now you can drag and drop and create macros as usual using the TV Slink device.
Technology is cheap, Time is expensive.

I can confirm that this works. I did it today... worked like a charm.

I tried it on a Pioneer plasma a while back and it did NOT work... but it couldn't hurt to try it, and let us know.

I believe their is a Xantech piece you need to add into the mix, but I am not seeing it on their website.
