I'm asking about this in the Pronto forum, too, as it has to do with Pronto Hex Codes.
I'm redoing an old Sonance Keypad system, Year 2000 Navigators. They use a form of RTI program and can access all the codes in the current Mega List even though the "current" software is five years old.
I'm having odd results with a couple of things.
One thing is that the Mega List Select on a Samsung SIR-TS360 works as Channel Up! Stranger still, this was already in the keypad and used to work.
Sudden thought: do keypads occasionally need a power-down reset?
Edit: ah, heck, power on them was down for a half hour yesterday.
The other thing is that I can't get the keypad to turn on or off Zone 2 of the Yamaha RX-V661. That's not in the database, and I learned the commands.
Yesterday I was here without my trusty Pronto TS1000, but I had a Marantz RC5200. It learned all the codes in forms such as POWER ON, here:
9000 006c 0000 0002 007e 0081 00ba 0045
which the RTI software says is not a valid format. I was able to learn all the zone 2 commands in long form by very quick button pushes, but then they all turned out to control the main zone. Correct function, wrong zone.
I then learned commands with the RTI Learner and all was well with the inputs. But On and Standby still do not function.
Today I brought the TS1000 and got learns that work properly from the TS1000 but not from the keypad. Here they are.
RX-V661 Power On
0000 006c 0022 0002 0157 00ac 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 05f8 0157 0057 0016 0e5c
(and
9000 006c 0000 0002 007e 0081 00ba 0045 works from the RC5200)
RX-V661 Standby
0000 006c 0022 0002 0157 00ac 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0015 0016 0040 0016 0015 0016 05f8 0157 0057 0016 0e5c
These two commands are identical except for a 0040 and 0015 reversed between the two, the 40th and 56th hex words. As I look at this, posted, those are the second and next to last words on the third line.
It just occurred to me to go fetch the power commands from some other Yamaha receiver as they oughta all work...I'll do that, but does anyone have any idea why these commands wouldn't work?
