I'm working in Treasure Cay Bahamas. I opened the file for this job which it was originally created with a previous version of TTD(I believe it was 5.0). When I tried to opened the file, I got a message saying that the file was created with a previous version, and asked if I wanted to convert it to the current version, which I did. So far no problems.
I opened the file and everything was OK, the problem happened when I added another two RP6s and two T1s to the system file. Even when those processors and remotes were independent, for equipment in another two rooms without any relation to the existing equipment in the previous file, all the previously created macros got distorted.
I don't have too much time right now to research about this since I want to be out of here by Thursday but I don't think I did anything that could had cause this problem. Could this be a bug in TTD?
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

distorted how???

Are you sure you opened the right file version.

I did this recently... took the wrong file version to the job with me and got stuck rebuilding a bunch of stuff I had already done which was sitting back at the house!

I have had TTD crash several times using the IR drag to a button as well as a graphic drag to a touchscreen..(new button or fav ch icon)

Doesnt do it all the time but every now and then...makes me hit save quite often to be safe

Will second that Glackowitz... but it's only happened to me when dragging IR codes.... and it's totally random... but usually happens when dragging codes to macros.

flcusat, something else you can try is to create a new file then import the devices from the old one, using Device - > Import

I don't do graphic drags (I like that term) anymore because of the crash factor. Of course it always seems to happen when I haven't saved for a while.

I have made a habit of periodically uninstalling TTD and installing a new copy if I start to have issues.

I have never really had a crash as you guys are describing, however, my IR pro stopped working recently and it was not until I unistalled and reinstalled (2x) that I got it back on line.

It was giving me the message, "unable to load capture component" and did not show the enable capture button that usually appears when you first fire up the IR library manager. I exchanged my IR pro after reinstalling but the new one had the same issue. I reinstalled a second time and that did it.

Me too recently, good to know I am not losing it, only with a T2+. It has only happened twice....

I have not ran into Pero's problem yet...

Come to think of it it has only been on the T2+, usually dragging a new button or channel icon from the library

The new version will be here soon so we will see what else happens when we do library drags...icon drags...ir drags...and whatever else we can drag.

Pedro, I dont know if this would work or not..Try opening it again, then save it as a new filename...maybe add the date, then add in the new devices

it might be trying to save a new version as an older file?? or still seeing it as and older file, saving it as a new system with new name might fix it, then save again before you add the new stuff...Just thinking...not positive

Glack, What I actually did was to create a new file with the new devices, since they are not going to interact at all with the rest of the equipment already installed. I'm here in the Bahamas, scheduled to live tomorrow in the afternoon and I don't really want to mess with what already was working fine. Actually, I haven't decide if I should update the K4 and RK3 to the lattes firmware. I'm afraid that something could go wrong and I need to be in Miami on Friday for my son's school Christmas Show.

I did that with the same results.

No problems at all for me, TTD has been flawless, now one of my favorite programs.

I have never done a T2+ though. T3, lots of T2C, M2 only so far.

Have had that happen too. seems to happen alot more often when I have a certain file open. Not sure what it is about that file. That one is a T2+ also.

Made a T2C with 186 pages. Checked memory and it was not near full... checked memory on the RP-6 and it showed a ton of free space... but it was blinking red. Saved all devices and the file was 13 Megs? Tried to upload and the RP-6 said the file is too big.

Deleted 6 pages and when I got to 180... everything would load and the file size dropped to 3 megs.

I was very aware of the 200 page limit and was staying under it. But delete 6 pages to get under 180 and it works... 11:00PM When you figure it out. But I need to get that last section back in there or I am missing a party mode.
