I'm curious to know what security panels you all have been controlling from an RTI using RS232? Does any manufacturer out there have easily accessible RS232 codes for their security panels? I thought I read somewhere that the new XP8 will ship with RS232 library for some GE panels... any truth to that? Has anyone tried RS232 to an HAI ONMI? I have been looking into this, and it seems to be very cumbersome, but I also doubt that any other panel out there is as robust as the OMNI's with the option to create programming based on motion, temp, buttons, etc.... any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

We have emulated GE Concord panel keypads. Just arm/disarm with no status. Client just wanted to lighten wall clutter and didn't care about status in that area. There still were factory keypads for redundancy though.
