Anyone have a complete library for an Onkyo TX-SR601 A/V receiver? I use almost exclusively Denon when I get the choice because of the standardized libraries. Does Onkyo use all of the same IR codes sets for there units? I need discrete zone 2 controls for this piece if possible.

Didn't see code libraries on the mega list or posted.

Thanks RTi guys!

I don't think the TX-SR601 has discrete codes for Z2.

For control, your macro would start with the "zone 2" command followed by the input, volume, or power command from the main buttons.

I came across these recently, but since I don't use Onkyo, I can't tell you if they apply to that model.

This is correct. No true discretes. You must issue Zone 2 command first. The biggest issue is after this command is issued it will only respond to zone 2 commands for around 10 secs. So after you do anything with zone 2, you must wait to issue any commands for the main zone.

Also, no way to control tuner except tune up and down and preset up and down. No direct tuning available. You must put main zone on tuner to even do this.

Actually it is 5 seconds. Send zone 1 commands first and zone 2 last in macros.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
