I am trying to use a T-4 with a Panasonic BL-C30A pan tilt network camera (wireless). The camera has an ip address (192.168.1.253:50000) with a username and password and works perfect on the wireless network, but the T4 is unable to load the image. The T4 browser is working perfectly, so it's not a wireless connection problem. In the T-4 settings I entered the IP address with the username and password. Does anyone know anything special that needs to be done? I am thinking it has something to do with the fact that when you do call up the IP address on the interent there is an nextra click you need to select in order to specify single shot, multiiple shot, etc...

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The camera object adds a 80 by default to the port number.

So if you want to make it accessible to the RTI object. Make it 80something.

They you would enter into the web object...

****EDIT ALERT!!!****
That should have read "PANASONIC CAMERA OBJECT"
****EDIT ALERT!!!****

192.168.1.253:81

The software adds a 80 by default. I figured this out a few months ago.. and it was painful!!!

Don't argue... just set the port on the camera to 8081 and the object in the RTI software to 81 and its going to work.

I got that far but still have 2 problems:

I got as far as getting my T4 to bring up the Panasonic camera page by entering 192.168.0.253:81/CgiStart

when I get to that it always asks for a password: after I enter the password the page pops up but the image does not (it works on the PC): I tried changing resolutions but no help: I used a 'go to specified URL' command

is there a way for the T4 to remember a password?
is there a way to connect to the camera direct?

I don't think your using the pansonic object , you may just be using the internet. The camera object gives you the opprtunity to enter a username and password...

Springs - it worked! It crashed a few times and then was "unable to connect to camera", but it worked at least once... I just have to figure out why it wasnt pan tilting and crashed when I was doing that. Thanks for the help.

You need to use the panasonic web object. Then there is a place to enter the user and pass. It is then built in once you drag and drop it.

Make sure that you had the user and pass built into the object for pan tilt.

You are welcome.

Let me ask a related question:

I display Accuweather on a K4 and the site requires a password: I have to re enter the password every time I reboot the K4

Is there a way around this?
