I just downloaded some spiffy artworks for RTI buttons.

How do I turn these into some kind of file that I can access from the editor? I'm guessing that there's a program somewhere that will let me take individual pngs and collect them into a bml. I just haven't seen it. If it's as easy as looking at the dropdown menus in the program, well, just slap me and I'll go there. I admit I haven't looked at all -- that's on a different computer from this one.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

BMLs are for the monochrome bitmaps used with the T2+ and M2. If that is what you are looking for, use the "Button Bitmap Editor" command in TheaterTouch Designer's Library menu.

If you are trying to use your PNGs with a T2C, T3 or T4, just make a new folder (e.g. "Ernie's Bitmaps") under the c:\program files\rti\theatertouch designer\bitmap libraries\ folder, then drag your PNG files into it and they will show up in the bitmap browser with no additional conversion necessary, as a new library called "Ernie's Bitmaps".

Also you have to name the PNG's with the correct file name.

Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question...

Read this

I read it. You don't HAVE to name the PNGs any particular way. It says
Graphic designations: TheaterTouch Designer CAN identify a desired use
for specific graphics, such as for a background or button, by the
addition of a specific ending to a file name.

I added the caps on CAN.
That means that it CAN use a specific ending to designate it as a background, up state button, or down state button, but there's an alternate method at the bottom of the page that doesn't depend on this naming convention. So you can, but you don't have to, name the PNGs some particular way.
