Every RTI remote has the RED sheet warning us to update to the most recent firmware... I've not been doing it except in the case of a couple older T3s.

Do you guys routinely check firmware versions or do you find current models are up to date and not worry?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I've run into several issues because of firmware.

I do the update on every piece for the first few months after an update is released. I have no idea how long this stuff has been sitting on the shelf at my A*A*... the funny thing is; neither do they!

I'd be curious what problems you solve with updating. The reason I ask is that I have more than my share of T3 problems.

Some I'd say are not firmware related at all: Streaks/lines across the screen. Won't charge/contact with base not so good. Blank white or black screen.

Some, perhaps: Locking up and needing a reboot. Works fine until it times out, then won't wake up again.

I'm really not sure what to think. Had three trouble calls in the last three weeks.

None of your issues sound like firmware issues, other than maybe the locking up.

RTI says what each update does in the release notes.
