I am trying to get my CM 232 to talk to Hyperterminal and so far have had 0 luck. At first I caught that a null modem adapter/cable was needed, so I figured that was my problem. Today arrived my null modem cable, hooked it up, and I am still getting absolutely nothing on Hyperterminal. I have set a button in Theatertouch to output rs232. Set the baud rate to 19200, 8,n,1 - and have tried all different settings for flow control. I have not once seen a single character show up on my screen. Is there any other settings that I could be missing? I am new to this, so please be patient.
Thanks!
