I must b an idiot or something, definately not computer savy, but i still til this day have trouble downloading these.

I download to my desktop, then it automatically extracts it. problem is, i dont always know where to save to in the wizard. Sometimes i choose desktop again, and sometimes i try to send it to my command libraries where i want it. So i go in to TTD to check if its there, and i go into ir library and its there!! "mega 14", so i add a new remote w/ a hex code i found to c if it would work. Now w/ it being in the ir library, i go into a system file i have and open "choose remote", then open library and there is no mega 14!! Sometimes it is depending on how i saved it.

Now i go back to ir library to make sure its there, and things look good. So now i tried downloading it differently, and its in the system file where we choose remote to drag and drop, but in the ir library portion i cant open it, its saying error?????

Can someone please guide me how they do it "correctly" step by step, i would really appreciate it, thanx boys!!!

Very Easy to do
Download the Megalist to a place where you can find it later
Open TT Designer
Open the IR Library Manager
Select the Remote Tab from the top menu bar
Select Import
After you select import find the file that you downloaded and select open
A window will open up and ask you if you want to Keep, Keep All , Replace, Replace all.
I select Keep all so you can keep the files that you already have and it will add the new ones.
When finished I usually go to File and Save as and make a new name for the library.
When in the TT open the new library and you should be good to go

Copy the file into the Program Files/RTI/Command Libraries folder.
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...

Like I said in a earlier Post

Very Easy to do
Download the Megalist to a place where you can find it later
Open TT Designer
Open the IR Library Manager
Select the Remote Tab from the top menu bar
Select Import
After you select import find the file that you downloaded and select open
A window will open up and ask you if you want to Keep, Keep All , Replace, Replace all.
I select Keep all so you can keep the files that you already have and it will add the new ones.

***When finished go to File and Save as and make a new name (Call the file Megalist and today's date) for the file and place the file in a folder where you know to find it.

Now
Open up TTD
press select new remote
when the window opens up select Open Library (A new window will open up).
at the top of the window it will say Look In and there will be a drop down window.
Press the down arrow and select the the file path to where the file is.
For example, in my computer the path is My Docs/Tech Files/RTI/Code Library.
When in the file code library i would select Megalist2007_10_19

Now the file will not change locations until you do a software upgrade then you will have to relocate the file.

The standard way (the way RTI has it setup) is as follows.

C: drive (or what ever letter your drive is)
C:/Program Files/RTI/Theater Touch Designer/Command Library.

Hope this helps you.

I feel the best way is to make a Tech Folder in your My Docs and have the info in there That why when you update the software or make changes in the future you wont loose the files you made.

If you are still having problems send me a PM.

Also you have to make sure that you are placing the file into the correct Theater touch designer. Your computer might have two TTD in the Program files area. I had this problem once

From what I can find, the answer should have been: There is no way you can get this at all.

As of now, Meg List 14 is no on the site. Either that or I can't figure out how to get there, but I find Mega List 13.0. Is 14 out yet?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Yes, 14 is out, Daniel has it hosted here on RC now, its in the RTI files area

No progress on 15 yet, I have only added about 8-10 codes myself. I am always open for Codes to add the the list...as well as any mistakes one may stumble on

Glack,
you're giving Daniel the props he deserves by giving remotecentral a more advanced list than you have on your own site!
