I was reading a thread from ~Feb that was discussing generic RC5 codes for RTI products. The discussion seemed to fizzle. I'm looking to add RC5 Dev 0, Command 0 to an RTI remote for a custom controlled device but, as others have discovered, the Proto shorthand doesn't seem to work in TT.

Did this ever get sorted? I'd love to get my hands on a CML if anybody has one.

Cheers...

I believe you could create an RC5 code within the Pronto app and then copy and paste it into the RTI. It is prettey to create in ProntEdit NG version or newer. All are downloadable from this site.

Codes dumped / generated in the the Pronto app get truncated to short form hex.

Look in discrete hunter for a post by thebussdriver. John Fines responded and gave the cleanest answer for how to do RC5 to 0000 hex EVER!

I had MakeHex ready to run, so here:

Device Code: 0 Function: 0
0000 0073 0000 000D 0020 0020 0040 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0020 0CC5
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
