G'day all...

I'm trying to customize a button based on the Curacao template. Using BITMAPRIP, I've managed to isolate many of the PNG files that are part of the template. Unfortunately, some of the files seem to be corrupt and, of course, the one I'm looking for is one of the corrupt ones...

Has anyone successfully isolated the entire Curacao set? If so, would you mind sharing? I'd even settle for the couple of specifics I need.

I'm looking for the left/center/right semi-transparent header buttons that are blank. They are 40pixels in height... I only mention this as there is a larger version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Good Luck.

I have used several rippers with similar results. Many of the files come out blank or with very little pixel info. Someone recently sent me a file of the glass icons that seemed to have more than I had extracted but it was still not complete. I have yet to hear from anyone who has had 100% success.

Yup... that's the ticket... errr... tickets!

Much appreciated. So, my next question is how did you capture them? I appreciate the help but I'd like to think the forum has better uses than me begging for bitmaps! :) Do you have any more?

Back to programming!

You can right click on a button, then "COPY". Now paste into an image editing software. I use Macromedia Fireworks, but many use Photoshop, etc

Now you can edit the graphic, and export it into the TTD bitmap folder
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...

Hmmmn... I tried this and I seem to lose the transparency... Am I doing something wrong in Photoshop?

I did copy from TTD, then pasted into PS(Elements), but I used the resulting image as a template for size only. The .png's I was able to extract from the RTI template did not include the exact images above, but one that was similar and larger. I used the size templates to recreate the images.

I'm definitely no expert in Photoshop, but through a little trial and error, maybe more sometimes, I can get what I need for my layouts.

Stick to it, and you can too.

I don't use PS.

But with most graphics editing software, you have to specify if the image has transparencies, make the background transparent, and set the export format to a transparent png file.

Play around with the settings a bit and you'll probably find it. Or, someone here will chime in with regards to doing this in PS.

Thanx... An earlier post made the 3 files available. Nonetheless, the effort is appreciated. As with the earlier post, how did you capture them? Do you have the full Curacao set available? I only needed these files this time but, for future use, having a reliable process for pulling the bitmaps (with transparancy info) from the templates would be nice.

I'd take the entire Curacao set if anybody has them...

Thanx.
