Has anyone programmed this little beast yet?

I am trying, but the slave gets everything that the master does. Is it supposed to be located on another wall in the same room, so that everything is the same?

I wanted to use 3 of them in one place to replace an older keypad config.

Any help?

What configuration?
3 separate controls, or 1-master/slave and 1 separate?

I've done 4 sets of 4/8 master/slaves, and didn't have any issues programming control, but I will say that all the color backlight options are not useful. Some colors just can't be read. Maybe as an active state.

I would like to have one 8 button with 4 sources mute, vol+, Vol-, and off.

The other 8 button to do play, pause, stop, prev, next, chan+ chan- for each source.

When I program a button on the master, it programs the slave as the same. I thought you could hook two together and make it like a normal keypad.

Maybe I just get the concept yet. Could you send me one of your configs to check out?

Havent' tried using a slave yet... but that certainly doesn't sound right

I am about to do my fisrt one. Mine is really basic though, just one unit.

The slave should work as you described. Are you sure that you plugged the slave into the right port?

The Slave should have the plug in the master/slave port and then be plugged into the master/slave port of the master unit. The control port of the Master unit should be plugged into the CB4 of an IR distribution Hub.

As an aside question, has anyone created there own labels yet to be placed on the RK8. I need other labels than what is in the package so I thought I would make my own but rather not have to do a trial an errror if this has been done before.

I have it plugged in right, I just can not get the software to do what I am trying to do.

Any configs out there would be appreciated.

This is exactly how I created the system I recently installed, and everything works fine. The problem you are describing sounds like a corrupt file.

Yeah you go it man. I found out my mistake just before your post.
When you arrow over to the slave, you have to hit the slave tab to show you the slave page. I was using the arrow over but not selecting the slave tab. What an idiot I am! Well you learn something new every day.
