I am trying to decide whether to purchase the T2-C or the T3. It is not really a question of cost but of usability. At the end of the day it really comes down to personal taste. What are people's personal taste from using and/or shopping for both.

I know that the the T2-C has more hard buttons and the T3 has the larger screen. Any other "major" differences? How easy is the touch screen to use (both to navigate the menus and just touch the "buttons"? I assuming that numbers are on the touch screen on the T3 (since there aren't enough hard buttons). How big a deal have people found that. Any other thoughts (useful or not :) ). Personal viewpoints are welcome.

Thanks, Steve

I should add that the most important uses will be Tivo and DirecTv HD-DVR. One other question, does anyone know when the new announced remotes come out (that is - should I wait?)

I prefer the T2-C.

I am a tactile feedback kind of guy and have never really been a fan of touch screens (since the Pronto TSU1000). I want to be able to surf (and do transports) without looking at the remote. Couple that with the fact that too often I find the T3 becoming a 2 handed operation.

The touchscreen of the T2-C is very versatile, especially if using the scrolling list function, without being overwhelming.

Depends of the lighting of the room. In a dedicated theater, the T3 is the one to go with, while a well-lit room might give the edge to the T2-C. If the consensus is that the T2-C is the better remote, it will make no difference that RTI is coming out with a new remote with more graphical capability.
