Correct.

It's the "Press CBL to turn unit on" message that you see when pressing a button while the unit is off.

Mine puts out a video signal whether it is on or off.

Not sure about moto boxes, but Scientific Atlantic boxes do output an image when off. Luckily, the digital coax output will work for the video sense module so this is how I control this piece.

RTI says that you can use composite, green RCA of Component, or digital coaxial audio on the video sense module.

Will any of these work for your box?
