We use the Xantech 590 for this with RTI and trigger commands,
we have used it on a system fault for electronics, in
turn sends a system off command tp the RTI and shuts it
down, then opens a relay on the RP6 which opens a contact
on the surgeX to disable power to the components until
the temp fault is reset then if ok it allows system to
return to normal

Actually what I am doing is a lot more advanced than that, as I don’t have to rely on the hassle of trigger codes. What I have done is take apart an old T1 I had and soldered micro wires between the button contacts and a barrier strip, I replaced the battery with a 3.5 volt power supply, the trick here is, I am working on a way to insert momentary contacts in line, so that for instance if someone opens the garage door and a contact is created, the button is not constantly in a state of "press" with the momentary relay the remote just gets a blip as if someone pressed a button. The beauty of this setup is that it can be programmed right in theater touch. Also, since it is a wireless remote, I don’t have to run any wires, I can just plug in the wall wart near the trigger source I am working with. I am putting the whole thing in a small black plastic box.

May sound like a lot of trouble to some, but it is exactly what I have been looking for, and it really is not all that hard to build.
