I'm trying to troubleshoot a few erratic RS-232 commands to my HK-7200 reciever. They work sometimes, and sometimes I get no response. I want to take a look at what the RP6 is sending the reciever over Hyperterminal. I can't get anything to show up on hyperterminal when I issue a serial command. I'm wondering what is the correct way to connect the CM-232 to Hyperterminal? Can I just use a gender changer to connect to my computer's serial port, or do I need to use a serial or null modem cable? I'm trying with just a gender changer, and can't seem to get anything to show up. Thanks.

You need a null modem adaptor.
