I have a possible new project that may or may not happen but basically it's going to be a training room that they will need control of just a few pieces of equipment but the rub is there are 4 areas they want to control it from. They are scared of AMX and Crestron from a $$$$ Standpoint and want me to try and make the K4's work if at all possible. BUT in order for it to really work i need the K4's to update each other? I don't even know if this is possible. Yeah they could drill throught the menu as they move around but that wouldn't work well.
Short question, can you have multiple K4's talk to one another and make each other change screens?

They really need AMX or Cretron to accomplish what they want to do.

The only other possibility that comes to mind is a T4 that they move from place to place instead of multiple K4's.

As for keypads updating eachother and staying synchronized, the only ones I can think of are the Sonance K2. You can set them to all sync and stay on the same page, but they have the LCD screen from a T2+ and some hard buttons, so not an impressive color touch screen.

I have wondered why the K4 has both a 'PWR STATUS" input and an "AUX STATUS" input, they both have the same description in manual, but you would think the AUX status would be for somthing else other than a general purpose voltage sense port.

Those STATUS signals could be used as binary "digits" for up to four different events (page links, etc.), but how to get the K4 to trigger on its own.

A huge wishlist item for me would be an automatic countdown timer function, built into the controllers, that could sense "no activity" for a specified period of time, then perform a macro. Maybe two versions, one setup in the Control Panel/Properties for the controller, and one that could be triggered by a macro as a last step, but didn't keep the macro running.

So many possibilities :)
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
