Is there any way to show volume ramping on a RK3 or K4. I know the RP6 has only 1 way comms, but is there a way to provide a scale up or down when volume button is pressed up or down.

Thanks in advance

The only real way to provide feedback currently is by the use of flags. You could probably do something very crude, not bulletproof and extensive to acomplish this, but depending on your setup it might not be worth it. Hopefully the XP-8 will deliver the ability to do small tasks like this at some point. Other mid-range remotes use modules that support a bunch of products to do this. I can't wait myself...

Yes, this would be a HUGE feature.

If there is ONLY one way to control a particular volume and the device uses RS232, and you can set a direct volume (ie turn it directly to -40db), you can use the flags method.

I've done this with a Denon receiver once. The receiver was NOT in a location where people could see or touch it...

I used a series of flags on the remote...

fluid, I'm curious (and interested) to know how you showed feedback?
If you used flags and Page Links, I would guess there would be quite a few involved.

Probably just a ton of pages.
Page 40 volume = 40 via RS232 command
Volume up Jump to page 41
Volume down Jump to page 39

I am really hoping to have the XP8 soon.

Ditto on the XP8.... but I seriously doubt we'll EVER see 2 way to the remotes (at least the current models)

RK3, K4....sure
