Just programmed an M2 for the first time. One issue I found is that if the remote goes to "sleep" and then you go to press a hard button like volume or pause, the remote doesn't always register that first key press. In these cases, you need to press the button again once the remote wakes up from the first button press.

Now with the other remotes (T3, T1, etc.) you only have to press those hard buttons once even if the remote is in sleep mode.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks,
Dino

Have you tried device properties? Haven't done a M2 yet, but I know on the touch screens there is an option to ignore first button press.

I couldn't see them doing this since it is a hard button remote. If that is the case, probably an issue that needs to be looked at.

Is this problem occurring even when tilting it?

I had some fun today doing my first M2 and forgot to save often. Bam, 25 minutes of programming gone in a blink of an eye. I was dragging an ir code over to the blank LCD section of the remote and instantaneous crash.

I redid everything and saved and tried it again and it did it again. It was a play command for a sony dvd/vcr combo 350 unit and I've used this code in the past.....so I don't know what caused the software to crash.

25 minutes of loss... ohh come on, thats not even worth pulling out the gun...

I had TT crash at 2 am when I was on site. I had 6 remotes on it and was working on the K4. Now I was sure happy to find out that the system didn't loose anything because I had run the emulator. But there was a second when you start fume...

If the tilt mechanism wakes it up first, then there is no problem. It's only when pressing a button on it when it is in sleep mode (lying on the arm of a chair, for example).

I played with it more this morning, and if you make the first press "longer", meaning long enough to first wake it up then to send the command, it works OK with a single press.

Still doesn't seem right.

There is a firmware upgrade already out there.. Maybe it will clear up some of these issues.

I saw that, but the description doesn't mention this particular issue. I'll try it anyway, thanks.

Yeah, but the whole thing took 30 minutes ;).

On the second time around, it sure is faster working with a little anger and disbelief, muttering the mantra "keep saving".
