Thanks in advance for replying, We are building a house with 17 zones for audio and 2 sub zones. we need to add intercom, three area's need surround sound system and we have to equip home theater.internet etc.
we have been advised to use russound sound system and rti remote's.
total area of the house is 11000 sq feet.

What advise can you professionals give.
What should be my reasonable budget, for prewire or total instal.

You are the consumer, right?

I don't know about using Russound for a system of this size. It would work, but I would look at other systems. The biggest key is getting someone who knows what they are doing at this level of system.

It would be hard to give you a idea of budget without knowing much more about the project.

I personally would not use Russound in this size of a system
and even though i sell a ton of RTI for a 19 zone audio system i would be looking at AMX for control and autopatch for routing
You can easily be in the 60,000 to 100,000 dollar range.

meet with a couple of CI firms and go over you wish list, get the estimates and go over them with a fine tooth comb. See their work, any good company should have at least one customer that would have no problem allowing them to show you their home or at least contact to discuss if they were happy.

Another option is to use Netstreams DigiLynx system for this size. If RTI gets the final approval already for the flash you can then use a T4 or a K4 for full web control of the audio system.

find another pro. russound is not your application......
Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

definitely find a pro.

That is the best advice that any of us professionals could possibly give.

If you were right in front of me, I would tell you I would have to walk the house with you (or the plans if it's not built yet), spend a couple of hours discussing options with you, and then a couple of hours, probably more, coming up with the overall plan. This should not be done for free. Anybody who does this for free is so desperate for work that they might overlook anything that would keep them from doing the job properly (I once worked for such a guy and had to design solutions on the job, which always cost the client more money).

But you're not in front of me, making any real advice impossible. The best thing I've seen here is the idea of $60 to $100k. While that seems like a really wide range, it's an indication of just how bad an idea it is to ask somebody who can't see the house about such a huge project.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Sounds like it could either be a large and involved project or a very simple project with a lot of zones. "Simple", however, is a relative term. To find a piece of equipment/manufacturer that will handle the number of zones you'll have sounds like a professional job to me. The only simple solution I can think of for the project given the product I use is Elan s12 and RTI with rs232. Dealer only Products. Sorry
