I am looking for a RTI Expert that can help me program my T4s next week beginning on Monday. I am located in the Los Angeles Area. I have programmed most of it already, but am having major difficulty tying it with the HAI System([Link: homeauto.com]) and the Camera System(GE). If you know how to do this or anyone that does, please call me at (310)801-5031 at any time. If you would like more info, please call me too. Thank you and God Bless.

Well... if the GE camera is a motion Jpeg then you can use the Generic Jpeg object. If its a http request.. there is an object for that too.

I was hoping he was the dealer and in a little over his head...

Plane tickets (Notice I said tickets, as in to and fro) + Expenses (Strippers/Dancers) + Drinking Money (Can't be much clearer on that one) and I am there!

:)

are you a dealer or end user?
Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

I am an end user. This is for my boss's house. We got the equipment from a vendor and the vendor never finished the job.

No, vendor as in a person who sells things. He's not in our industry so to him, an installer is a vendor. The fact that the installer bought the RTI from a vendor (RTI) doesn't change the fact that the install co was a vendor to him.

What is the name of the company that didn't finish? (private email ok; if you want to tell me but not here, I won't publish it here).

I do RTI but I haven't even done a T4 yet, so I'm not volunteering. Or, to be more exact, offering my services for hire. If you get real desperate, I'll take it on; I'm the only one I've read here who has said "the guys at RTI told me..." so I'm not afraid to ask the horse.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Funny you should mention that.

In this case, I figured I was in the mode of a helping a dealer with a one time thing. Often this is where I get offered air fare and to be "taken care of" (comped) for room and food while working. So I thought...
Airfare
Lodging
Food Money
Drinking Money
Maybe some stripper Money

Then we would call it a deal.

samcw0,
We're doing a job in Palo Alto with a K4 and a bunch of T2Cs. I can swing down to LA and simply add a day or two to the trip. See our gallery for sample screens: www.distinctav.com

You may want to confirm that those cameras will work. We just messed around with an IP Toshiba Cam, and were not able to view it on a T4. Of course if they are not IP, then it shouldn't be an issue.

I still need to figure out how to handle panasonics when you have to change the port.

I have Verizon which is blocking all incoming traffic on port 80 with Fios. So I had to move the camera to 192.168.1.125:8888 and set up port forwarding on the router. If I had more then 1 camera I would have to have it on another port like, 192.168.1.126:8889. This way I could actually get to them from the outside world. But inside the network its easy to just leave them all on 80.

But does anyone have the straight http requests used by the webserver to control and access the camera? If I can figure out where to place the ":8888" then I can get access to a remote camera.
