Are my clients the only ones that want hard "info" button on RTI remotes?

I am suprized RTI has consistantly left this off their remotes. It is a function that is used all the time on cable and sat boxes. Clients don't always want it just on the touchscreen portion.

Just got our M2's . look great but I will find something to complain about, other than no hard "info" button.........

I always program the info button, be it on a T1, T3, or T2C.

T2C has a hard info button. what one are you referring to that doesnt? M2?
No, I wont install your plasma with an orange extension cord hanging down the wall.

I always put in a button for info too. Have resorted to a button test when the customer really wanted the Guide button to give them info too.

My M2 just arrived and that's one of the first things I noticed. There's plenty of space for it. Clients ask for it.

Don't need both a Select AND Enter button on the T1, it would be good to see the Enter button replaced with a 'Info' button.
By the way, a lot of my more elderly clients love the T1, big buttons and well laid out (except for the aforementioned lack of a Info button)

On more than one T2+ I have programmed the "menu" button, next to "guide", as the info button. Just put a "menu" on the screen. Clients are happy with that, especially that the button is under the thumb, in a easily located position.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

There are plenty of devices that need seperate manu select and enter buttons.

I usually use the "enter" button as a "info" button. They should just make the "*" and "enter" into removable caps. I personally only need a couple of options for those buttons.

I don't like being without info. As previously mentioned, some boxes use separate enter and select so you can't steal one of those.

Next beef is no "prev channel" button on T2C or M2. I use the star key for previous, but again, there is room on the remote for another button or two.

Those two reasons make RTI a slow mover for us(other than price).

URC's 900 and 950 fly out the door because of this.

Clients WANT those two buttons accessible without going 'up' to the screen.

Thankfully, RF interference hasn't been a problem for me.

I use the menu button as the cable box info button. this way the client can't easily get into the menu and screw up the settings.

Same here, with the addition of a 'press and hold' for the menu which I don't tell the client about, but means I don't have to go looking for the original remote if any changes are required. Not sure if that makes me smart or just plain lazy :-)

Thanks for the simple solution .

I will quit whining.
