Ok, I finally setup a ES-777 for a client and prior to going over I test my codes to ensure they work via IR. I then hooked up an RP-1 and used a mono 1/8 jack to ensure that they would work via RF. Everything is good.

I programed the T2C have my scrolling list working. I test the remote (IR) at the clients house everything is going fine. I then add an RP-6 into the mix, and it doesn't work????

Everything else, the tv, denon 4306, comcast cable, sony dvd player respond just fine, but the es-777 doesn't...

I tried different outputs on the RP-6. I tried IR routing, so that the ES-777 would only recv. commands intended for it.

Anyone have an idea???

Thanks.

P.S. If anyone can point me to the RS-232 codes that would be great. Thanks.

I don't know if it is that serious, however you mention that all works a-ok with line of sight IR. It's worth a shot to make sure your emitter(you didn't mention this if you are using one) is in the exactly the right place. I usually have to move them around to get them on the right location on that product.

If this above doesn't apply to you then please disregard.

regards, Mr. Willy

Are you using the control - S input?

If so, have you stripped the carrier frequency?
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...

I am with Fluid...

If you are suing the S-Control, I thought you had to strip the carrier.

Just right click on a button, choose edit properties, click infrared tab and turn frequency to 0. Or better yet open the Library Manager, open the Sony 777 es remote file, duplicate it with a new name and then modify all of the carrier frequencies. That will make it easier each time you need to do this.

I always love the term "strip the code", not to be mean, I remember way back when when other audio professionals would use this term just to make me feel stupid and that I could never understand this. I just tell others that all you need to do is turn the carrier freq to zero.

We all have to start somewhere.
