I have a RP6 that is up to 125 system macros. To organize it better, it would be nice to rearrange the order of list. Is this possible?

Only with creative alphabetic renaming.

It doesn't sort them alphabetically either, its whenever they were entered in...

But they are in alphabetical order when you select one from the list in a remote macro.

It is for this reason that I always group my macros, and leave extra macros between the groups. For example.

1. Family Room - Watch TV
2. Family Room - Watch DVD
3. Family Room - Watch Fireball
4. Family Room - Watch ___
5. Family Room - Watch ___
6
7
8
9
10
11. Family Room - Listen TV
12. Family Room - Listen DVD

etc
etc
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...

the method above is best, You really dont want to try and remove a system macro, it would be better to just rename it and change the comands within the specific system macro itself. The sequential numbering on the side is actualy part of each system macro, removing one (if possible) may have an adverse effect on the file as a whole.

Fluid, thanks, that's a good idea for future systems.

RTI Installer, can you elaborate on what you mean by "having an adverse effect on the file as a whole"?

Possible bug??? Using the new TT editor. I deleted a system macro from an RP-1. Then when I went to close the RP1 window TT crashed. If I click save all devices before I close the RP1 window its fine. Anyone else have this?

When you delete a macro (say you copy the macro then paste it somewhere else then delete the original) the link that a particular button or other macro has to that
deleted macro will be lost.

I, like many others, will nest certain macros for ease of templated programming. For example I create system macros for single commands such as TV or receiver on/off and inputs and then use thase system "macros" in my activity macros. This way, if the TV is changed or if the configuration is used as a template for a new job, I only change the command in one place and I have to do far less editing. This is especially true for RS232 commands which do not make use of the IR code search and replace feature.
