Depends.
Before Ernie come in bitchin....
We need more info. What are you controlling? What features do you want? If we had more info we could give better answers.
I'd buy a T2c

it does depend on what you are controlling, but for the most part bigger is better. more real estate per page. it cuts down on page switching. instead of page for dvr controls and an icon for audio controls that jumps you to seperate page for surround modes. you could have dvr controls, surround modes, and video settings, etc. this is very brief explanation and whoever you consult to help you will be able to advise. t4 is awsome remote no doubt. i personally use and have sold many t2cc and love them. for every day (great room, living room) system it is great.

T4 if you like a big touchscreen two handed remote. T2C if you like hard buttons for daily use and channel changing. T3 if you want a little bit of both.
I really like my T4, but I actually use the T2C when watching satellite.

T4 is my choice: that is what I use in my HT most of the time
I started with the T3 which is a nice remote but the T4 has the advantage because of the larger screen which means less page turns: it's wireless capability means you can update the program without connecting the USB cable
when the T2C came out, I traded in all my T3's for the T2C's
So my list in order of preference is
T4 T2C T3

For exactly those reasons, it is the navigational part of a remote that frightens some people. All the commands are basically on one page, so it's quite easy to find (and become proficient). T4 is a serious control panel, and I love it.

IMHO, the T2C is a nice mix of hard and soft buttons that is easy to hold and use with one hand. Having programmed URC remotes, I love programing the T2C, because I can be more creative.

If you have been using an RP1 in the system macros... there is an option for "convert to". Used this when the shop system outgrew the RP1 we had and we needed to move to the rp-6.
If you have not been using a processor... it depends on if you have flashers on everything? Because if you have to split up local IR and system IR then you need to start using standalone and moving things to the system macros... You'll be fine...
