Forget the upgrade link... it doesn't work. Download the Full install and it will do the upgrade.

On the M2... there are only 2 buttons under the screen... Home and Favorites.
What happened there.. no next page? Hey maybe I should try a reboot.

No Preview feature for the RK1?

I was hoping to see a simulation of the buttons changing colors.
...couple a thumb tacks and a stick of double sided tape should hold this baby up...

How about editing text on the RK1 so I can remember what the heck I'm doing?

Actually with the price increases...

2 RK1s cost as much as a RK2.

Marketing... you got some splaining to do!!!

It's just too bad you can't key label per page or even multi label the keys. I want to have a source/home page and from that the input pages would have functions. You can just change the backlit color to indicate what source your on.

So is it icons only for the M2? No text for the button labels similar to a MX-850? If so can anyone give me a quick 123 on how to create a button from scratch for buttons that don't appear in the library?

It lets me put text labels on the M2. Just draw a button like on a T2+ and use the text tool.

After trying to upgrade from 5.02 to 5.1, I lost the ability to see text on the old TTD1.12. Has this happened to anyone else?

I agree.
However, you could have them custom stenciled... or .... you could use 2 RK1-8s in a master/slave config.

1 RK1 could be for activity selection.
the other could be for source control.

The selected activity could be lit differently, to indicate what you are listening to.



I've got a project coming up where the home owner doesnt' want alot of "wall acne" and we dont' do Crestron. RTI is our only control option for doing lighting.

I'm thinking of using a RK1-8 for music, and an RK1-2 or 1-4 (depending on the room) for lighting.

These rooms won't need complicated lighting control, or be tied into whole home lighting necessarily. But I've never used the RTI product for control of Lutron (etc) before.

I meet with the builder, client and sparky tomorrow. I think electrician likes to use Radio Ra, or Graphic Eye. I have control GE before (using IR mind you).. but have yet to do anything with Ra. Assuming the Elect supplies the RS232 module, should I have any problems getting an RK1-2 to do basic On/Off lighting control?

RK1 $250
RP-6 $600
CM-232 $80

To turn on the lights... that is assuming that the RK1 does come out this time.

Never spec vapor ware... XP-8 anyone?

Thanks Bruce!

I guess I'm still doing something wrong. I add a button, select edit text, add my text, but it doesn't show up on the button. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. Any ideas?

Update: A complete uninstall and reinstall on my laptop has solved this problem.
