Wouldn't you guys like to see a template offered from RTI in their next software update, that features neutral, trendy, earthy, colors like we see in so many homes today?

I'm working on one now... and will have to do from scratch.

You poor thing... you have a great idea and you have to build it yourself??? :)

I know what your talking about. I just find Curaco too busy on a t3. It looks fine on a T4 thou. So basically I went in and made my own stuff ... well I brought just about all of it from my PCFs/CCFs. I have a color scheme / layout that customers seem to get. So I use that as much as possible and base anything requested on the same look.

If you have something that you want to show or need some ideas. Send it around. I am sure this group will have an idea or two.

Those all look really good, but aren't they a little too busy for backgrounds (aside from the windows one)? Do you find yourself "losing" text in the background?

I usually have buttons on the page and they cover the image, or I will use a Faded box to cover up an area with Text

Those were just examples to show some images and give ideas

You know i luv the graphix....heres another set i made a while ago, comes in handy now and again... the screen shot is only about 24 of them, out of around 60 something.... The RTI logo i made, usually ends up being the start page or welcome screen... Im willing to share, host or whatever if anyone wants to start a little "package"....

Won't neutral backgrounds make it harder to create buttons that contrast from the background? On a black and white screen, black and white are the easiest to make clear. Once you get into colors, neutral seems like a bad choice as it will look best with other neutrals, that are then hard to distinguish.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

My opinion is that the best backgrounds have rich colors that are neither too dark or too light and they have a certain but minimal level of detail to add to the attractiveness without distraction.

I would be willing to bet if we ask RTI Installer to put a couple files on his site, with the mega list, he would.

My custom monochrome icons have been on there for a year or so. I realize that the color stuff takes more time than the monochrome stuff, but it would be great if we can share a lot of this stuff. As far as I know very few, if any, of us are in the same area and competing with each other.

The graphics don't size up perfectly, but Theater Touch will automatically crop wallpapers made for the iPhone. There are hundreds of great looking wallpapers that can be cropped or resized for the T2C here:
